AERIAL LIFTS TRAINING (MEWP)

Aerial lifts (Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts), pose significant safety risks if not operated correctly. This comprehensive in person instructor course provides essential aerial lift operator training. Learn from experienced instructors and gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to operate aerial lifts safely and in full compliance with all applicable provincial and OHS regulations.

Instructor course will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for training workers in the safe operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Upon completion of the course, you will be able to print your own course materials and certifications for your students.

The training covers the following: 

  • Perform thorough pre-shift inspections: Understand the critical importance of pre-shift inspections and confidently execute the process.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards: Recognize common hazards associated with MEWPs and learn effective strategies to avoid or mitigate them.
  • Operate safely in diverse environments: Gain the skills to operate MEWPs safely in a variety of on-site situations.
  • MEWP Anatomy & Pre-Shift Inspections: Learn the different parts of a MEWP and how to conduct a comprehensive pre-shift inspection.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the course start date to be eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up for class will be allowed not be refunded.
